Spring-cleaning is celebrated in cultures across the world. Due to the tilt of the Earth on its axis, the northern hemisphere begins to see the winter-scape come to life with daffodils blooming, grass greening, and temperatures warming during late March, into early April.
Spring-cleaning has grown into National Spring-Cleaning Week. This annual effort has expanded beyond house and business cleaning into peoples’ finances, technology, and other areas of a person’s life. With that in mind, Vitalia Senior Residences at Strongsville is looking forward to completing this year’s community-wide spring-cleaning effort!
At home, cleaning normally starts with the roof gutters. Our house is in the country and has a lot of pine trees around it, so every spring the gutters are full of droppings. The yard vacuum is used to collect anything that has accumulated along the fence line before we fertilize and mulch. The windows are cleaned, and the outside of the house pressure washed.
There are multiple benefits of spring cleaning. It increases the home’s value, it gives pride in ownership, and hands-on time allows evaluation of condition changes in and around the home.
I always look forward to pulling the speedboat out of storage, performing a deep clean, power washing the gel coat, shampooing the carpet, and buffing the stainless steel.
This will be the third year of our tradition of spring-cleaning within the community and each year is better than the last! Come see for yourself how a clean, well-kept community brings smiles to its residents and staff.
