Creating a Thriving Workplace Culture

In today’s fast-paced world of healthcare, we realize the importance of creating a positive workplace culture. Here at Vitalia Strongsville, we understand to achieve this culture, employees must trust their workplace.

Each August, Vitalia Strongsville participates in the Great Place to Work Survey. This is a time where staff can be open and honest about their feedback. The data is collected by a third party, so it truly is anonymous. It is so important for us to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly to know what we can work on to truly make our community a great place to work.

As the Business Office Director Lead, I consistently promote employee appreciation. I make it a priority to recognize our hardworking team members, often surprising them with random fun events. For example, on “Turn Up Thursdays,” I bring out my Bluetooth Karaoke Remote and invite employees to sing their favorite songs. This not only brings smiles but also boosts morale in our community with some awesome tunes.

We believe when done right, making work a fun place creates a workplace culture that helps people thrive, promotes retention, and makes us a great place to work, which in turn makes us a great place to live.
